July 16, 2013 - PriceSquawk Demo

Trying out a new Ninja Add-On this week. Great product so far. In this demo, the audio is set to sound on every trade and when inside market moves in the Bund. Its also set to sound when inside market moves in the schatz. Great for watching across markets or when the eyes need a break.

The gunshot sound is an alert I set for when the Schatz breaks new low or high. Tweetie bird sound is when schatz inside market moves.

July 12, 2013 - Perfect Entry, Bad Trade

Started trading live this week. In this trade, I read the market perfectly, entering at the best price and set my target at 126.20, where DPOC is. However, lost composure and got out for 1 tick. Market dropped 8 ticks from my exit price.

June 21, 2013

I have been on SIM trading Eurex in the afternoons and watching the ES & ZN at night. I think this might not be a great way to move forward as the different markets move differently. I should stick to one market until I figure this out.

As seen below I am completely out of rhythm  with the bunds today.

Discretionary Trading on Simulator.

Became distracted after a big win and missed a few opportunities. 1st winning trade was all from reading price action. Volume disappeared after the first 90 minutes.

Jumpy action today. Keep getting tails in an up trending market.
Thou shall not pick tops.

April was a lackluster month of LIVE Trading in the Bunds so I decided to SIM for the first 2 weeks of May to stop the bleeding. Planning to go live again coming Monday.

Sim exercise is to enter long / short based on coin flip and 10 minutes to enter after the flip. Flip at random timing after each trade.

Typical Day

Today
Good day in terms of cutting losers and giving winners some room.

May 7th, 2013

Sorry for not posting for some time. I have been pulling 4am nights in a trading room learning market profiling to supplement my scalping techniques. I am still trading Bunds in the day and ES at night. Grinding away taking and losing a few ticks everyday - Death by a thousand cuts. Im particularly glad about this day where I read the action right coming back from 2 losing trades, then reversing for 5 ticks.

Took a much needed Friday off and manage to do ok on a slow day today. Missed the big move but was able to scalp a few. Decided to focus just on the Eurex for now.

Hit my daily loss limit today. Was feeling frustrated by other crap and probably should not have traded in the first place. First trade in the bobl was not properly planned and 2nd was a revenge trade both lost money. Became extremely tired with a headache and traded the ZN in the evening with same result. Worst trading day so far.

Rollover day in the German Treasuries so I kept out of it.

Heres a trade in the ZN. The idea is to sell 075 for a snap back to the profile range. Got shaken out easily.

Price eventually got to my original target at 060 without touching back my price 15 minutes after my exit.

Bad trade example, clearly have no clear exit strategy.

FGBM

Going with the Trend Trade
FGBM has been trading down since the open. The idea is to short on a pullback and go with the trend.
Should have been more patient and waited for a better price. I knew it was a bad trade when I saw big green prints but I hesitated and took a 2 tick loss when I could have gotten out for a 1 tick loss. The price hovered at a 3 tick range after my exit.

FGBM trading in a tight range this morning. Recorded a trade to try out Camtasia.

Scalp trade in narrow ranging market.
The automated stoploss is to prevent a catastrophic loss. I usually stop loss manually. I changed the target from 3 to 2 ticks because based on the market the previous day it was moving too slowly and too much chop so 2 ticks seemed more likely.
The price eventually went to my 2 tick target but not before if came back to my price so I settled for a 1 tick winner.

March 4th, 2013

Real choppy market in the German Treasuries. Got lucky and managed to turn a few 1 tick winners.

Choppy action today on the ZN as well, 3 trades, 2 scratches and 1 for a 1 tick loss.

Made enough to pay for commissions today. Capital preservation is my first priority and to that end its not a bad day but for the amount I risked trading like this is a sure way to the poor house.
